Hi, I'm Tameka, and I must confess...
The most beautiful wedding cake I’d ever seen made me question my life choices after one bite...
I was at my friend’s wedding reception.
Everything looked beautiful, and the cake was a SHOWSTOPPER: tall, covered in decorations, and wrapped in fondant. I was excited to try it because I love cake!
But when we first walked into the room, there was a smell that immediately turned me off...
I thought maybe I was imagining it. When it was time to eat the cake, I realized the strange smell was coming from the fondant.
I took my first bite, and... it just wasn’t good.
How could something that looked so beautiful taste so disappointing?
I was amazed.
It made me angry and sad – maybe I was irrational, but hey, I LOVE cake...
This was a CELEBRATION...
It was supposed to feel exciting and happy...
Instead, the cake brought the mood down.
I kept thinking that the flavor should matter too - not just the looks.
What about the FLAVOR???
Maybe you’ve had that same letdown: a treat that looked amazing, but was way too sweet or had no real flavor to enjoy.
It can make you wonder if you’re expecting too much, or if you have to choose between a beautiful cake AND a delicious one. I didn’t believe that should be the choice. And that thought changed everything…
You shouldn’t have to CHOOSE between beauty and flavor.
That experience pushed me to create cakes that are beautiful and bursting with delicious homemade flavor.
I believe baked goods should taste amazing AND look amazing, too.
And when people are celebrating, every part of the experience should add to the enjoyment.
That’s what I want for you: a fresh, beautiful treat you can look forward to eating, and a celebration where you don’t have to sacrifice flavor for looks — or looks for flavor.
Because seriously… shouldn’t your cake be just as memorable as the moment you’re celebrating?

Things you should know about me...
Even though I spent my career as a physicist, I’ve always loved using my hands to craft beautiful things — whether that’s baking, cooking, drawing, digital art, or crocheting! I really enjoy all the little details and watching simple parts come together into something amazing. Baking, in particular, has been a lifelong passion of mine since I was a child, and I have my wonderful mom and grandmother to thank for that.
I’m married to the love of my life, and I’m blessed to be a mom to six amazingly wonderful kids and one sweet fur baby who bring endless joy to my world!
Some of my family’s absolute favorite treats from my kitchen are Lemon Dream Cake, Caramel Cocoa Brownies, Chocolate Chunk Cookies, and Cake Donuts.
